Grammy's Fashion Review
Grammy...Grammy...GRAMMY!!
Is all that I feel like I have heard the last few days, with mommies, dress guess, and performances. It has been all the buzz on every entertainment site out there, so I thought might as well join right?
We have to talk fashion all my favorites and least favorites from the red carpets to the performance outfits. One of my favorite red carpet outfits and performance outfits was Taylor Swift. Her red carpet dress was absolutely stunning and her hair and make up went perfect. I like the soft pink lip on better then the dark red I think. Also her performance dress was gorgeous the dress almost seemed to fit together. Her singing was on point as well sometimes I find her live singing can fall flat but last night was killer. I admit the head banging was a little crazy but hey if she was feeling it at the moment you have to let her have it. Another favorite was Colbie Caillat looked fierce in her red floor length dress on the red carpet. With a high collar on the dress she rocked a sleek top knot for her hair. Similarly dressed Giuliana Rancic looked stunning as well, but I am more of a fan with her hair down. Another girl with a bright hue was P!nk in her red strap less dress was a true beaut! And her performance with Nate Ruess was a jaw dropping not sure how she does it all. Another favorite probably my number one (if I had to choose) was Katy Perry. She looked completely flawless and perfect in her Valentino music note dress. The dress was fun and was perfect for the event, but was still very sophisticated and grown up. Katy Perry's hair, makeup, and jewelry was just perfect and went beautifully with the dress. Also her performance was a great I have to admit that song is one of my favorites at the moment and I truly get that dark vibe form it. Ciara rocked the baby bump along with a stunning gold gown. Many more women rocked the shinny gowns, such as Rita Ora, Chrissy Teigen, and Amber Rose all looking shimmery in their dresses.
Although there were many great looks there were also some not so stunning looks. Kathy Griffin with her printed teal dress just wasn't Grammy style. A little to causal for my taste but she was funny as always. Another patterned dress that I could have gone without was Paula Patton's zebra dress. I just didn't get it at all, it seemed to much and to kiddish for me. The young star Zendaya and her blue and black outfit was also not my favorite. The light blue color and sheer black was stunning on her skin tone but the style of the dress just wasn't cutting it for me. It seemed just mismatched and all over the place. Paris Hilton and her white dress definitely didn't work for me. The dress seemed lose and didn't fit right. Many jokes were made that it looked like a ice skating outfit, which I have to agree with.
All the men look great. many rocking velvet tux such as Macklemore, LL Cool Jay and Robin Thick. The only only man I saw that I questioned his style choice was Pharrell Williams his crazy hat and jeans and red jacket was quite the relaxed outfit for music's biggest night. Also the crazy clown that showed up was a little frightening. But all in all it was a good night men's fashion wise.
You can't not talk about Beyonce but I felt she need her own space. Her performance was quite dramatic and beautiful. I get the whole need to look sexy with the dancing and that is what the song is about I just wasn't a total fan of her outfit. It felt a little to scandalous, with the wet hair as well. But don't get me wrong she is Beyonce and can do whatever she wants on stage right? Her sexy white flowered dress was stunning for watching the event front row.
